  • Susana Lage Cal defends her PhD thesis

    On 27 July, Susana Lage Cal presented online her PhD thesis, entitled Environmental evaluation system for historical buildings energy performance. A late XIXth-century traditional Asturian house application case. Directed by Mª Belén Folgueras Díaz and Juan Carlos Luengo García, a new indicator for IPPC A1B projected climate change has been both created and employed as a decisión-making tool for interventions on the Busquets House (Avilés-Asturias).

  • Mohamed Abdelmagid defends his PhD thesis

    Last July 22, the PhD student Mohamed Abdelmagid defended his PhD thesis, entitled Heat Transfer Enhancement in horizontal Double Tube Concentric/ Eccentric Heat Exchanger by Using Nanofluid. In the thesis, active and passive methods for enhancing the heat transferred in an exchanger were researched. Tube rotation, geometric modifications, as well as the use of nanofluids were combined and assessed. The thesis has been supervised by Antonio José Gutiérrez Trashorras and Andrés Meana Fernández, both professors of the Departament.

  • Celia Miguel receives an award in the 1st edition of the Spanish Fluid Mechanics Conference

    The first Spanish Fluid Mechanics Conference was held in Cádiz in une,2022. Many spanish researchers in fluid mechanics  gathered to chare their work, even some contributions from abroad were shown.

    There, Celia Miguel, member of FERES team from UinOvi, was the winnerThere, Celia Miguel, member of FERES team from UinOvi, was the winner of the jury-prize  of the jury-prize for the best poster among dozens of participants.

    Celia Miguel presented her PhD work based on aerodynamic wiping systems for industrial aplications.
